About Us
The main proprietors of this site are Phil and Jenny Snyder, a couple of Pittsburghers who love the combination of the small-town vibe with their big ideas. The idea for Level 30 Yinzer was hatched years before it came to fruition, but lacked support as both Phil and Jenny were working full time. Lo and behold, that soon changed. One fateful day, after a conversation in the morning about their future (they both were miserable in their jobs, and it hardly seemed worth the effort if they both were going to be unhappy), the future was made obvious as Phil was laid off that afternoon. What a way to make their choice a simple one! They saw this as an opportunity to pursue what they wanted: working, living, and breathing the gaming industry. But where to work? Without viable gaming companies local to Pittsburgh, and being unwilling to leave their beloved hometown, Phil and Jenny did the next best thing to do when you can't work for the company you want: They made their own! They took their idea, nursed it, developed it, hugged it, and created Level 30 Yinzer, a site dedicated to community games.
But something yet was still missing. A boy scout from way back, Phil wanted to do more than just push sales with the talent and creativity they would foster . So they took it one step further, and decided to make Level 30 Yinzer a not-for-profit venture. That means that anything that didn't cover costs to maintain the site and hire freelancers would go straight to charity. Now, they couldn't be happier to take something they love, and use it to drive good works for those in need.
